Great Season for the Cardinals

Well, I see my last post was at the beginning of the playoffs before the Cards swept the Padres. Unfortunately, their season ended last night as they were shut down by Roy Oswalt and the Astros. And the Red Sox did not have much of a chance either. In any case, two great pitching staffs will be playing in the World Series this year and it should be interesting to see what happens.

However, the Cardinals still had a great season having won 100 games two years in a row and making it to the World Series last year and to the NLCS this year. A World Series championship would have been nice, but what other team has lost in one NLCS and lost in one World Series in the past two years? The answer: The Astros in about one week. Hey, I have a 50% chance on getting this right, and even with the way the Astros shut down the Cardinals, I am still betting on the White Sox to finish them off.
